Using PixelPDF
What is PixelPDF?
PixelPDF is a collection of 40 focused tools for PDF conversion, page organization, editing, signatures, watermarks, and password workflows. Browse the tool directory.
Are the PDF tools free?
The site currently presents these tools without a payment step. Availability, upload limits, and hosting costs can change; check the individual tool page for its current limits.
How do I upload a file and download the result?
Open a tool, check its accepted formats and limits, choose the file, and start processing. When a result is returned, download it and inspect the saved copy before using it.
Which file types are supported?
Supported types depend on the selected tool and include PDF, common image formats, OOXML Word/Excel/PowerPoint files, and local HTML files. The formats page lists the tool-specific inputs.
Can PDF to Word preserve the original layout or read scanned pages?
The PDF-to-Word workflow extracts selectable text into editable paragraphs; it does not reproduce page design. Scanned pages require OCR, which this workflow does not provide.
Can PDF to Excel convert any table?
It identifies likely rows and columns from positioned text in supported PDFs. It is heuristic, may not preserve every table structure, and does not perform OCR on scanned pages. Check the workbook against the source.
What happens if my PDF is password-protected?
Use a password workflow only when you are authorized and have the required credentials. Unknown passwords are not guessed or cracked. Start with Unlock PDF or Decrypt PDF as appropriate.
Can I add a password to a PDF?
Yes. The password tools require a matching confirmation and a password between 8 and 128 characters containing at least one letter and one number. See Add PDF Password.
Can I sign every page?
The drawn-signature workflow applies a signature image to each page and provides placement controls. Review the pages and positions before relying on the result. See Sign PDF.
Does covering content remove it securely?
No. A visual cover or crop changes what is displayed but does not ensure that underlying PDF content is permanently removed. Do not use visual covering as secure redaction.
Are uploaded files stored permanently?
The application writes conversion inputs and outputs to temporary per-request directories, then attempts cleanup when processing ends or the download stream closes. A periodic task also removes old job directories. This is not a guarantee about hosting backups, logs, or infrastructure; see the Privacy Policy.
Why did processing fail?
Common causes include a mismatched file type, a damaged or encrypted PDF, unsupported structures, invalid page ranges, upload limits, or processing timeouts. See troubleshooting steps.
How can I contact the site?
The Contact page displays an email channel only when one is configured for the current deployment; the site does not claim to accept messages through an unconfigured form.
