How to Sign a PDF
A drawn signature can add a visible mark to a PDF. It is an image placed on the document, not a certificate-backed digital signature or identity verification.
When this is useful
Use a visual mark when a document workflow accepts an image signature. Confirm separately whether the recipient requires a particular electronic-signature process.
Steps
Upload the PDF and draw the mark in the signature pad using a mouse, touchpad, or touch input.
Choose a signature color and redraw if needed; inspect the preview before applying.
Move through the PDF pages and adjust the signature placement on each page. The tool can apply the mark across all pages.
Apply the signature, download the output, and inspect every page for size, contrast, and placement.
Important considerations
- The result is a visible graphic and does not cryptographically prove who signed or whether later edits occurred.
- Avoid signing a document before its final content is agreed and checked. Retain the unsigned source.
If something goes wrong
If a mark is hard to see, choose a contrasting color and adjust its position or size. If it appears on the wrong page, return to that page's controls and verify the preview.
